RECAP: Week #6- This week in Tallahassee…
Week 6 of the Florida Legislature has come to an end, and we are officially two-thirds of the way through session. As we come to this point of the 2024 Legislative Session, the pace of Tallahassee has definitely slowed in the committee process, while picking up steam in the main chambers of both the House and Senate. Two major victories crossed the finish line on the House side this week.

Week 5 of the Florida Legislature is over. As we reached the halfway mark of the 2023 Legislative Session, Tallahassee was full of action from both the halls of the legislature to the chambers of the Supreme Court.

RECAP: Week #4 – This week in Tallahassee…
Week 4 of the Florida Legislature is complete, with many significant victories along the way. However, Weeks 4 (and 5) are significant for another reason as well. Many of the subcommittees finish their workload during this time, which for practical reasons, means that if a bill hasn’t been heard at least in one committee by this time, it is most likely dead for this session. Although this does mean that sadly, time has run out for some of our priorities for this session, on the flip side, other dangerous and harmful bills we were opposing that have not had hearings up to now are also dead. Additionally, the winnowing of the field of legislation allows our team at FFPC to narrow in on the remaining priorities, to ensure they cross the finish line this session.

Over 200 grassroots supporters in Florida, from Pensacola to Miami, joined us in Tallahassee on Monday and Tuesday for our annual FFPC Pro-Life, Pro-Family Days! RECAP: Week #2 – This week in Tallahassee…
Tallahassee faced bitter cold, with temperatures dropping into the 20s and 30s for much of Week 2 of the 2024 Legislative Session. Despite the weather, the legislative session kicked off with notable vigor, marked by significant policy advancements aligning with our dedication to family values and the well-being of Florida residents.
RECAP: This week in Tallahassee…Legislative Week #1
We at FFPC are thrilled about the 2024 session and believe we truly are approaching one of the most exciting and fruitful sessions in recent history, even in light of the incredible victories of the last few sessions. Leading in our list of priority bills is the age verification for porn websites, mandatory filters on smartphones to protect minors from graphic pornographic or sexually explicit material online, followed by legislation further penalizing the sexual grooming of children. We have a whole slate of prolife legislation focused on continuing the building of a culture of life in Florida. We’re tackling legislation defending medical freedom, targeting the rising threat of human trafficking, and pushing back against the gender identity crisis in the workplace, education, and healthcare and so much more.

An Invitation to Pray at the Gate – January 14, 2026
No matter what side of the aisle we fall on, Scripture calls us to pray for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may live peaceful and godly lives (1 Timothy 2:1–2). Before laws are debated and decisions are made, we believe it is right and necessary for God’s people to gather humbly, ask for wisdom, and entrust our leaders and our state to the Lord.
