Week 5 has come to an end! If a bill has not yet been through at least some committees at this point, the odds that it will pass are rapidly shrinking. Subcommittees and some committees are beginning to wrap up as the focus turns to floor debate on the bills passed out of committees. As many good bills advance in the session, the intensity and frustration of the opposition has increased.

We are inviting students to join us this summer for our Florida Patriot Academy Capitol Boot Camp, a fun, entertaining, educational, and inspirational leadership camp. Every Patriot Academy (PA) Capitol Boot Camp is world-class leadership training specializing in applied civics with a Biblical, historical, and Constitutional foundation.

The fourth week of session is finished. Though somewhat more tame than last week with its explosive outbreaks, week 4 was no less action-packed. Week 4 marked a critical juncture in the 2022 session.

The third week of the nine-week session is complete as we come to the end of January. With Pro-Life, Pro-Family Days occurring Monday and Tuesday, this was our most action-packed week with advocating for our bills and training allies on priority legislation.

(Tallahassee, FL) Two-hundred guests attended the Florida Family Policy Council’s Pro-Life, Pro-Family Days prayer breakfast on Tuesday, January 25th at 7:30AM with Governor Ron DeSantis. The Governor spoke along with Abby Johnson and Kat Cammack in Tallahassee on the theme, #LifeWins.

The second week of session has come to a close, with plenty of action and bill movement. On Tuesday, the teaching of Critical Race Theory in public schools and in mandatory corporate training was up for debate…

The New Year has just commenced and with it, the 2022 Florida Legislative Session is upon us. Opening Tuesday, January 11th, at 12 noon, the Capitol roared to life and is charging full steam ahead.

The Florida State 2022 legislative session has begun, and so has our ministry to represent Christ, His mission, and biblical values in Tallahassee.

(Tallahassee, FL) This morning, Senator Kelli Stargel and Representative Erin Grall filed bills HB 5 and SB 146 on “Reducing Fetal and Infant Mortality.” The bills create enhanced measures to defend the lives of unborn children. If these bills pass, the new law would be the strongest protection for unborn children in Florida’s history to date.

Send us the details of your pro-life event in January and we will promote it by asking FFPC supporters in your area to attend your local activity commemorating Sanctity of Human Life Sunday on Jan. 23rd and/or the anniversary of Roe v. Wade on Jan. 22nd.
