Dear Friends,

The Florida State 2022 legislative session has begun, and so has our ministry to represent Christ, His mission, and biblical values in Tallahassee.

One of the important mission programs we have implemented at the Florida Family Policy Council is called The Florida Capitol Project. The Capitol Project is a ministry initiative which is reaching out to connect the 12,600 self-identified, evangelical pastors of Florida with their civic leaders in Tallahassee at the state Capitol for prayer, biblical partnership, and public policy influence. We believe the relationship between pastors and their civic leaders is not only an important one, but a biblical and historical one as well. This relationship needs to be promoted and strengthened and we are doing our part to see that happen.

We believe pastors leading their churches in Gospel-centered, biblically- based civic engagement is the key to whether our nation and state is renewed or deteriorates. There is no plan B. The church is God’s plan to be salt and light to a culture in need.

The Florida Capitol Project is a multi-step vision which encourages, educates, equips, and empowers pastors and Christian leaders to effectively engage civic government and the culture with the Gospel and a comprehensive biblical worldview. The vision begins by inviting pastors from across the state to come to Tallahassee for a Monday dinner briefing about God’s plan for civic government. Following this is a Tuesday prayer tour which includes connecting with important elected officials and praying over the Capitol complex. This program has impacted scores of pastors over the last years with renewed passion for the civic mission field.

You can find out more of the details at: https://floridacapitolproject.org.

If you are a pastor, we want to specifically invite you to join us on one of the dates indicated on the website. You will not be disappointed as you hear the stories of what God has been doing at the Capitol and create new testimonies by your participation and ministry.

If you are a church member who believes your pastor may be interested in this kind of opportunity, then we encourage you to forward this email to him. Better yet, share this impactful ministry event with him personally and look for ways to assist him with transportation.

All the registration and contact information can be found on the website. Our Florida Capitol Project staff looks forward to assisting you.

Sincerely,

John Stemberger
