As Session enters its final days, the pace of legislative movement accelerates quickly. Bills that have advanced steadily through the process now depend on final negotiations, floor debate, and the relationships built over many months. Our team remains fully engaged, meeting with lawmakers, supporting policy champions, and continuing to serve as a faithful presence where decisions impacting Florida’s families are made.

Week 6 was marked by focused determination to ensure Florida continues strengthening a culture that defends life, family, and religious liberty.

We have officially reached the halfway point of Florida’s 2026 Legislative Session—and make no mistake: this is where the most consequential decisions come into clearer focus. The halfway point of session is when pressure rises, timelines tighten, and key votes begin moving quickly toward the finish line.

It’s hard to believe the Legislative Session is already nearly halfway complete. The pace in Tallahassee continues to accelerate, and with each passing week, the stakes grow higher for Florida’s families, children, and future.

As the Legislative Session presses forward, this week brought a sobering moment for our team. While advocating to protect children—both born and unborn—our team spent long hours in key committee rooms and had a front-row seat to some of the strongest opposition we have encountered in quite some time.

Aaron DiPietro, who has faithfully served as our Legislative Affairs Director in a part-time capacity for the last six years, is now able to devote his full time and attention to the work of Florida Family Voice.

It seems like session started only yesterday, but here we are with Week 2 already in the books, and what a week it was. From wins for Life, Marriage, Family, and Religious Liberty, this week has been a resounding success in FFV’s mission to rebuild the walls of Culture.

This month, I joined national leaders and 34 Family Policy Council CEOs affiliated with Family Policy Alliance in signing a coalition letter sent to President Trump, Vice President Vance, Majority Leader Thune, and Speaker Johnson. Together, we spoke with one voice urging our national leaders to hold firm on Hyde protections—because Americans should never be forced to fund elective abortions with their tax dollars.

A new year is underway, and once again, we are back in action as the 2026 Florida Legislative Session begins in Tallahassee. While most Floridians will never sit in a committee room, the decisions made inside the Capitol will shape our churches, families, communities, and children across the state for years to come.
