Gov. DeSantis Keynotes FFPC Dinner Gala With Nearly 800 in Attendance
(Orlando, May 24) – The Florida Family Policy Council’s 18th annual dinner gala on Saturday, May 20, featured Governor DeSantis as the keynote speaker. The Governor delivered a speech emphasizing Florida’s amazing achievements. The event received national media attention and highlighted the Governor’s remarkable accomplishments.
During the gala, Governor DeSantis spoke for over 40 minutes, covering topics like the ban on the mutilation of minors with transgender surgeries and therapies that sterilize, the 6-week bill protecting unborn children after a detectable heartbeat bill, and fighting the war on corporate woke-ism, just to name a few.
In recognition of his contributions, Governor DeSantis received the Wilberforce award. As part of the ceremony, each of the nearly 800 attendees lit a candle as a symbol of honor and unity as a bagpiper walked down isle playing Amazing Grace.
Rebecca Hagelin, author of 30 Ways In 30 Days to Protect Your Family served as the M.C. for the event. John Stemberger had the honor of introducing Governor DeSantis, highlighting his remarkable influence and leadership.
