Florida Family Policy Council Announces Publication of Statewide Cultural Indicators Report
The 55 page full color document provides statistical data for 37 cultural indicators in 7 different categories including vital statistics, crime, education, family, health, poverty & welfare, and business & government. Each indicator compares Florida’s status to the rest of the country by using charts, graphs and graphic color images to accompany the raw data.

Florida Family Action along with a diverse coalition of citizen groups crossing racial, political, and religious lines, today filed a Motion to Intervene in Pareto v. Ruvin, the lawsuit initiated by homosexual activists seeking to declare Florida’s marriage laws unconstitutional.

On Tuesday, January 21, 2014, John Stemberger, President and General Counsel of the Florida Family Policy Council, issued the following statement in response to Equality Florida’s announcement that they are filing a federal lawsuit to attempt to overturn Florida’s Marriage Protection Amendment found in Article I, Section 27 of the Florida Constitution:

Christmas Teaches Us That God is Near
As we approach Christmas this year I am provoked by the thought that our God is near. He is not a far away God, distant or remote. Instead, the God who exists is one who came to seek and save the lost. He does not want distance or enmity between Him and His people.

Week 7 has come to a close and featured some incredible advances on several of our top priority bills even in the face of ugly and fierce opposition. The week began Monday afternoon with HB 5, the late-term abortion ban protecting the unborn after 15 weeks, which passed the final Senate committee stop.
