Dear FFV Friend,
Four months ago, Charlie stood with us at our Annual Dinner and delivered a message that both inspired and challenged us. I so enjoyed Charlie, and we hit it off immediately on our love for Jesus, the capital “C” Church, and our families. He had the best stories about engaging students on college campuses, and he loved my stories about working with Tim Tebow, Chris Tomlin, and Governor DeSantis. We talked a ton about collaboration of the church and non-profits and discussed how our ministries could serve together. I had a new friend and ally.
As last week unfolded, we have been asked by many of you to share the video of his address and our conversation together from that night back in May. To be honest, the emotions of last week made it where I could not re-watch it until today. After watching it, and after what has taken place, I was even more impressed as he explained his boldness, called others to it, and explained why it was worth it.
Today, his words just hit differently because it isn’t just talk anymore. A cost has been paid. His life and legacy remind us that Biblical truth is worth defending.
“The righteous are bold as a lion.” — Proverbs 28:1
Below, we are sharing Charlie’s keynote message and my conversation with him that evening. Truth will not be silenced.
“As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today.” -Genesis 50:20
Serving together,
