That’s a lot of voices. But right now, they’re not unified. And a divided voice will never be heard.

That’s why we need Watchmen on the Wall.

Florida is home to more than 17,000 Christian churches and nearly 15 million people who identify as Christian. Yet one of the most significant mission fields in our state has too often remained disconnected from the life and ministry of the local church—our government and those entrusted with leading it.

At a cultural moment when truth is increasingly contested and many public servants carry extraordinary burdens, our elected and appointed leaders need what every person needs: faithful prayer, genuine encouragement, and the hope found in Jesus Christ through His Church.

The Florida Church Ambassador Network exists for precisely that need and this moment. Not as lobbyists or political activists, but as shepherds of the Church, praying for Florida leaders, building genuine relationships with them, and bringing the Biblical worldview to bear on the most important decisions being made for our state.

Because I spent nearly six years in the Governor’s Executive Office before joining FFV, the question I get asked most right now is: “What happens to Florida when the DeSantis era ends?”

For eight years, our state has known something rare in American public life: principled governance that actually delivers. From the Heartbeat Protection Act to the defeat of Amendment 4. From expanding parental rights to standing firm on religious liberty when other states went silent. Florida has become the standard by which every other state measures what courageous leadership looks like. We have benefited greatly from Governor DeSantis’s leadership, and we will keep honoring that legacy.

But governors come and go. Legislative sessions begin and end. When this chapter closes, the walls of life, marriage, family, and religious liberty will still be under attack. When America’s governor is done, Florida Family Voice will still be standing watch, defending those walls, every month, every session, every year, regardless of who lives in the Governor’s mansion.

We absolutely cannot do it without you! So, before we ask anything more, we want to say thank you. We are grateful for the numerous ways so many of you have faithfully supported this work through prayers, advocacy, and financial giving over these 22 years. Now we’re asking you to consider standing with us in a new way, one that can change our culture and bring permanency to the victories we have won.

The dollars raised matter, but the collective voice we’re building matters just as much. In the Capitol, numbers are influence, and we carry yours. A unified voice on issues of life, marriage, family, and religious liberty will not be ignored. Florida has 17,000 Christian churches and nearly 70% of our state identifies as Christian. One voice at a time, our influence is limited. But when we speak together, we are loud, and we will be heard. We’re not chasing a dollar figure.

We’re after full participation from people across Florida who stand under the authority of Scripture and believe these walls are ours to defend and rebuild. Every gift of any size is a brick in the wall that amplifies our influence on your behalf. Even a few dollars a month, multiplied across the Body of Christ in this state, changes everything.

The Church is called to proactively set the culture of the state, not just adjust to it. That means shaping the culture that shapes the electorate. We don’t just respond to who governs Florida. We help decide.

Here is one example of what standing watch makes possible. During the 2026 session alone, 1,962 bills were introduced, and 147 of them touched directly on the biblical worldview topics we hold dear. The average person in the pew never sees them. We do. That is our job. As a Watchman, it’s as if you are standing with us in the Capitol every single day. A session lasts 60 days. The work of defending life, marriage, family, and religious liberty lasts 365.

The walls are under attack. The season is turning. And the Church, not any government office, is God’s Plan A for what comes next.

1. Worldview Workshop

A full-day workshop designed to equip believers in any role to engage the issues of our culture confidently and biblically. If you’ve ever wanted a clearer framework for thinking through what’s happening in the world around you, this is worth the drive.

2. Shepherds and Shields

A Church Security & Emergency Preparedness Luncheon

Churches across the country are navigating real safety challenges, and most pastors were never trained for them. This free luncheon brings together four experienced leaders in law enforcement, security training, and threat assessment for a live panel discussion and Q&A. Seating is limited, and each attendee must register individually.

3. Florida Forward: Faith & Family Forum

As Florida recently marked 250 years of American freedom, we are gathering faith and civic leaders in St. Augustine for a focused conversation about what comes next. You will hear from our CEO, the Governor’s Faith and Community Liaison, leaders from our Church Ambassador Network, and local church leaders about how churches, nonprofits, and civic partners can work together to strengthen families across our state. CarePortal will also be on hand to share how communities are meeting local needs through collaboration. Seating is limited.

We hope you’ll consider attending one or more of these this summer. Each one is a chance to be better equipped, better connected, and better prepared for the work ahead. 

While most Floridians are firing up the grill this weekend, our team is already deep in preparation for this fall’s elections. We’re marking 250 years of freedom because a group of men signed their names to a document that changed the world.

Self-government is one of the rarest privileges in human history. Our founders and a whole lot of men and women since have bled for it. The least we can do is vote… boldly and faithfully, and equipping believers to vote according to their faith and convictions is a large part of our work.

We thought you might enjoy knowing what we have been doing at Florida Family Voice in preparation for the primary and general elections this fall:

• We have sent non-partisan biblical worldview questionnaires to 189 U.S. House candidates and 290 state legislative candidates running for office and have already received a record number of responses.
• We are vetting 37 judicial races involving 96 candidates because the courts matter just as much as the legislature.
• We are conducting in-depth interviews in dozens of target state and federal races so that when a Florida believer walks into the booth this fall, they are holding an FFV voter guide built on a biblical worldview rather than a party label.

All of this is being done so that we can create Florida’s only statewide, non-partisan, faith-based voter guide that shows where candidates stand on the biblical worldview issues that we defend.

Our founders saw America as a beacon of freedom, one nation under God. Certain truths are self-evident, they said. Rights endowed by God himself. The walls of life, marriage, family, and religious liberty weren’t accompaniments to that vision. They were the foundation of it. Those truths still need defenders today.

As we celebrate 250 years together, we pray we can defend and rebuild the walls of virtue so that, Lord willing, this land would flourish for another 250. That is the work. And it only happens because people like you decide it is worth doing and stand with us.

For more than 20 years, Florida Family Voice has been Florida’s premier defender for life, marriage, family, and religious liberty.

Florida’s primary election is August 18, and our team has spent months researching candidates so that when you walk into the booth, you are holding a voter guide built on a biblical worldview, not a party label.

• We have sent non-partisan biblical worldview questionnaires to 189 U.S. House candidates and 290 state legislative candidates running for office and have already received a record number of responses.
• We are vetting 37 judicial races involving 96 candidates because the courts matter just as much as the legislature.

The most consequential contests on this year’s ballot — Governor, U.S. Senate, congressional seats, and state legislature — will be decided before November arrives. Low-turnout primaries are exactly where faithful Christian voices carry the most weight.

One thing worth noting before August 18: Florida is a closed primary state. Voters must be registered with a party to vote in that party’s primary, and party affiliation changes must also be made by July 20. If you or someone you know needs to update their registration, now is the time.

This fall we will also be releasing our General Election guides and mobilizing volunteers across all 67 counties to distribute physical copies to churches and organizations statewide. More on that soon.

This important day is a powerful opportunity for us to come together in unity, seeking God’s guidance, wisdom, and blessing for our nation, our leaders, and our communities.

At a time when our culture faces significant challenges, prayer is not just important—it’s essential. It is our first response, not our last resort.

As Scripture reminds us:

“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” — 2 Chronicles 7:14

Miss America Revises Its Definition of “Female”

When Miss North Florida 2025, Kayleigh Bush, who attended our Annual Dinner Gala last year, was stripped of her title for refusing to sign a contract requiring her to compete against biological males, Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier took action. His letter to the Miss America Organization is linked HERE.

In response, Miss America revised its policy — updating its definition of “female” to reflect biological sex. Here’s what changed:

This is a meaningful win for women and girls — and a reminder that principled action produces results.

New Data Confirms What Many Families Already Feel

A newly released Family Structure Index from our sister policy council, the Center for Christian Virtue, led by Aaron Baer, reveals a sobering national trend. Fewer adults are getting married. Fewer children are growing up with both parents in the home. And increasingly, families are relocating to states where they believe their children have a better chance to thrive.

Florida’s Attorney General Launches Investigation into AI Risks to Children

Attorney General Uthmeier recently announced an investigation into artificial intelligence platforms, including ChatGPT, citing concerns about risks to children and public safety.

In his words: “AI should advance mankind, not destroy it. We’re demanding answers on OpenAI’s activities that have hurt kids, endangered Americans, and facilitated the recent FSU mass shooting.”

The investigation follows growing reports that AI tools may be exposing young people to harmful content and influencing dangerous behavior. Florida is once again leading where others have hesitated.
