If you watch this movie, it will be one of the most moving and inspirational things you see this year. I highly recommend the Created Equal movie, Clarence Thomas in his own words. This is a rare and remarkable look at the life and story of a Supreme Court Justice who rarely speaks in public. I would say this is mandatory viewing for every young person. My family and all my children, ages 10-19 will see it together.
This movie will air for free on Monday, May 18, at 10:00pm, ET on most PBS stations across Florida. (check local listings, for different air times around the country).
I saw this film in a private showing after hearing from and meeting Justice Thomas in person this past January. The film chronicles his life, narrated in his own words. His past was filled with abuse, abject poverty, hatred, discrimination, and leftist campus activism. His story is a testament to the grace of God and the opportunity that only America as a country affords.
Also Beginning May 18, CREATED EQUAL: CLARENCE THOMAS IN HIS OWN WORDS will be available to stream for 14 days on all station-branded PBS platforms, including PBS.org and the PBS Video App, available on iOS, Android, Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV and Chromecast.
