Obama Transgender Bathroom Mandate, Contact Governor Scott | Florida Family Policy Council | flfamily.org

Dear Friend,

This is an URGENT REQUEST!

If a boy in Junior High School showed a girl a pornographic photograph, that would be grounds for suspension or dismissal.  Yet Mr. Obama wants boys to shower and undress with girls (CHILDREN!) in the nude and that is somehow a civil right?  This is pure madness and ought to be considered child abuse.  As a father of two daughters, ages 6 and 9 years, this makes me LIVID!

This week Governor Scott made a statement in a small press gaggle expressing “concern” over President Obama’s mandate threatening to deny federal funding to public schools that did not comply with allowing men to use women’s bathrooms.  This was largely due to YOUR taking action to call and email the Governor’s office and signing our petition.Rick Scott Gray With Obama Text 2nd

We must keep the pressure on to PROTECT OUR CHILDREN. Governor Scott needs to hear from you and others who oppose President Obama’s dangerous mandate allowing boys to use girls’ school restrooms, showers and locker rooms, and hotel rooms on out-of-town school-related field trips.

Take the following action today:

1) Call or email Gov. Scott again (or for the first time) and thank him for making a public statement.

2) Urge Gov. Scott in that communication to now take action.  Several other Governors around the country have taken very strong positions on this issue.  A list of what other states’ Governors did and said can be seen HERE.

If you have already signed the petition to Governor Scott urging him to stand up against President Obama’s dangerous transgender bathroom mandate, or have given a gift toward our efforts to make sure Florida’s children have privacy and safety when they use the restroom, locker room, or shower at school, THANK YOU!  Additional resources are now available for you on our website HERE

If you have not yet added your name to the petition, forwarded this to your friends and family members, or maybe even given a gift toward our efforts, can I ask you to please take a few minutes to do so?

TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE!

If a boy showed a girl a pornographic photo that would be grounds for suspension or dismissal.  Yet Mr. Obama wants boys to shower and undress with girls (CHILDREN!) in the nude and that is somehow a civil right?  This is pure madness and ought to be considered child abuse.  As a father or two daughters, ages 6 and 9 years, this makes me LIVID!

We need leadership to stand strong and stand publicly in the face of this most recent Obama mandate.

With President Obama’s threat to remove funding from schools if they do not comply, and Governor Scott’s refusal to lead on this issue, many of Florida’s school boards are floundering. We are seeing some school boards taking a common sense approach refusing to comply with this federal “guidance” but sadly, others have already given in.

Please continue to contact Governor Scott, and urge him to stand up against Obama’s unconstitutional and dangerous mandate pandering to the very small but vocal transgender community.

To assist you, as you discuss this issue with friends and family, we have created a new resource page on our website called Understanding and Responding to the Transgender Movement. This resource features videos, articles and talking points from experts across the United States.

Watch this quick 1-minute video: “7 Things You Should Know About Obama’s Bathroom Mandate”

And once again, if you haven’t taken action on this to protect our children, would you please do so as soon as possible?  It only takes a few minutes.

It’s our pleasure to be your voice for your values. But this is one time we need you to weigh in personally. Thank you again for standing with us on this important issue.

Sincerely,

John Stemberger
President and General Counsel
